Sr. Kathy graduated from Wayne State University with a BS in Education before entering the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monroe. She continued her education studying theology at St. John’s Provincial Seminary until it closed and then completed her MA at University of Detroit while also earning certification credits in Leadership and Counseling at Eastern Michigan. She has served in various schools and parishes in the archdiocese including St. Frances Cabrini Allen Park, St. Augustine Richmond, MCC Campus Ministry and St. Louis Clinton Twp. More recently, Sr. Kathy completed a degree in graphic design from IADT Troy and has used her skills to develop and enhance programs at the parish level and in serving her IHM community.
Sr. Kathy’s personal motto for leadership is “Lead with integrity not ego.” as she sees her ministry and vocation as an extension of her baptismal call and deeply rooted in Gospel values. Her interests include sports, music and design. Sr. Kathy enjoys spending time in nature and with her family. She is blessed to have all of her family living in Michigan with the exception of her niece, Maura, who is currently serving in the U.S. Navy.
